GREAT GOD PAN

First album released by the band, "Great God Pan" features the original line-up of Northwinds: Sylvain Auvé (Drums, Vocals), Vincent Niclas (Guitars, Vocals) and Sébastien Thuriez (Bass, Vocals) with the addition of Marco (flute, celtic instruments). This opus consists of 6 tracks combining
classic doom-metal with progressive rock and celtic influences. Most of these songs were part of the first demo. Northwinds makes you come in its magical world from the very first notes of "Great God Pan" (the song!) until the last wolves howlings of "Northwinds" (the song too!!). The atmosphere is really captivating, with a mix of acoustic riffs and heavy rythmics surrounded by some fine clear vocals without forgetting the bewitching flute and other weird instruments like bombarde or accordion.

For those who like comparisons, Northwinds has been inspired by bands like Black Sabbath (they cover "A national acrobat" among their original compositions), Witchfinder General, Count Raven, Paul Chain, Ange and many more... but originality stays the master word!
